The Arogbo-Ibe Voice Reporters news outfit will be officially launched tomorrow, September 27, 2024, at the Arogbo Civic Centre, beginning at 10:00 am.
However, the much talked about event marked a significant milestone for media representation in the Niger Delta region, with the outfit, ably managed by Doctor Kegbe, aiming to provide objectively informed coverage of socio-political and economic issues affecting the local communities.
Ijaw Heritage Television learnt that key stakeholders, including traditional leaders, government officials, media professionals, and prominent community members, are expected to be in attendance as the event promised to pull a large turnout from Arogbo and its environs.
Doctor Kegbe, CEO and Publisher of Arogbo-Ibe Voice Reporters, had highlighted the media outfit’s commitment to youth empowerment and its vision of fostering positive social change through journalism. “We aim to empower young people in the region by providing them with the tools and opportunities to engage in media and storytelling that can shape the future of the Niger Delta,” he said.
In addition to speeches and cultural presentations, the launch will also include an award segment; recognising distinguished individuals who had made notable contributions to the development and progress of the Niger Delta region.
The Arogbo-Ibe community eagerly anticipates the launch of the outfit which is purposed to amplify their voices and address the concerns of the Niger Delta on a broader scale.
The development represents a new era of grassroots media empowerment and local development.
