The United World Congress of Diplomats (UN-WCD) has appointed Bayelsa-born Prince Iwefa Aganaba as African Special Envoy on youth.
The UN-WCD with headquarters in London, through its Nigerian country office in Abuja made the announcement through Amb. Tunji John Asaolu, Global Vice President, United World Congress of Diplomats & Chairman of Governing Council.
The appointment letter was officially handed over to Aganaba on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024.
While making the conferment, Ambassador Tunji extolled the virtues of integrity, ingenuity and excellence of Aganaba.
He urged him to be resilient, transformative as well aa inclusive in repositioning the affairs of African youths in five regions of the Continent.
On his part, Aganaba thanked the UN-WCD and pledged his allegiance to the mandate assigned to him.
Present at the meeting were: Amb. Hephzibah Suobo Chairman of Climate change and Ecosystems Restoration Committee of the African Union (AU) Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, Peter Obot of the All-Stars Ensemble, Mr Inebimo Denenu, Abubakar Tijani Wowo of Africa on the Rise Foundation.
Others are Head of Mission, Amb. Stephen Gbatigbi Ben-Joel, Amb. Kingsley Okwara, Deputy Head of Mission of the African Union Agenda 2063.
Aganaba is the convener of all stars ensemble—a platform created to discover young talents, train, empower and showcase their inherent talents globally.
He also currently holds the status of Commonwealth Youth Ambassador.
