Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Announces the 10th Coronation Anniversary of HRM King Couple Oromoni, Monbene III

The Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Traditional Council of Chiefs, on behalf of the peace-loving and hospitable people of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom in Warri South and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State, warmly invites friends, well-wishers, neighboring kingdoms, and the general public to join in celebrating the 10th Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty, King Couple Mackson Oromoni, Monbene III, Pere Ama-Okosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom.

The historic celebration marks a decade of progressive and impactful leadership on the throne.

In a statement released in Warri on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, by Chief Boro Opudu, Chairman, and Chief Monday Keme, Secretary of the 10th Coronation Anniversary Planning Committee, it was announced that the week-long festivities will commence on Monday, September 22nd and run through Friday, September 26th, 2025, at the kingdom’s traditional headquarters in Ogbe-Ijoh Main Town, Delta State.

Chief Opudu disclosed that a rich lineup of activities has been planned to honor the Pere Ama-Okosu, including:

Conferment of chieftaincy titles on deserving illustrious sons and daughters of the Ijaw nation

Masquerade displays, novelty football match, award presentations, free medical services, quiz and essay competitions, wrestling contests, cultural and masquerade dances, and canoe paddling competitions

The anniversary will also be graced with electrifying performances showcasing the best of Ijaw traditional and highlife Owigiri music. Among the artists billed to perform are:
FC Story Teller, Chief Barrister S. Smooth, Chief Kingsley Takembo, Prince Abraham Donokoromo, Dr. Gesi-ere Nicholas, King Allen Alabor, Hero Beremi, Bayelsa Cultural Troupe, Dr. Alfred Izon-Ebi, and Harrysong.

The organizers assured that dignitaries, traditional leaders, and cultural enthusiasts will experience five days of colorful displays of tradition, unity, and festivity.
