Bayelsa Comedian, MC Senibo Sponsors WAEC Exams for 157 Students

A Bayelsa-based comedian and event host, Ebitimi Ogoniba, popularly known as MC Senibo, has paid the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) registration fees for 157 secondary school students drawn from Odioama and Okpoama communities in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

MC Senibo disclosed this in a statement shared on his social media platforms, describing the gesture as part of his personal commitment to promoting access to quality education in his home communities.

According to him, the beneficiaries include 74 students from Government Secondary School, Okpoama; 30 students from Community Secondary School, Okpoama, out of 43 eligible candidates captured in the current phase; and 53 students from Community Secondary School, Odioama.

The entertainer noted that the initiative was borne out of his belief that education remains the most potent tool for empowerment, social mobility and the eradication of poverty.

By easing the financial burden associated with WAEC registration, MC Senibo said he hopes to give the students the confidence and peace of mind required to sit for their examinations and focus fully on their academic pursuits, with a view to securing a better future for themselves, their families and the larger society.

He expressed gratitude to God for the provision and opportunity to give back, while urging parents, teachers, community leaders and the students to ensure full participation and adequate preparation ahead of the forthcoming examinations.
