The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has congratulated renowned Ijaw music icon, Barr S. Smooth, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a legendary figure whose accomplishments have distinguished him in the annals of Ijaw cultural heritage.
In a statement signed by its National President, Ozobo Austin, the forum commended Barr. Smooth’s immense contributions to the growth of the Ijaw music industry and his philanthropic interventions, particularly his sustained efforts at empowering youths across the Niger Delta region.
The IPF further noted that the music maestro’s role in the Niger Delta struggle, as well as his advocacy for enduring peace and unity in the region, remains profound and impactful. It stressed that his sacrifices and commitment to the collective cause of the Ijaw people would continue to earn him a respected place in history.
Describing him as a selfless leader and generous benefactor, the forum prayed for continued strength, wisdom and divine grace for the celebrant, expressing hope that his legacy would endure and inspire greater opportunities for the younger generation.
