Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to nation-building and youth empowerment through its sponsorship of the Joseniho Kids Football League Abuja 2026.
The company made its position known at the colourful opening ceremony of the grassroots tournament held on Sunday at Ace Turf, Gwarimpa, Abuja, where young football talents across the Federal Capital Territory converged for the kick-off of the five-month competition.
Representing the firm, its Community Relations Manager, Dcn Akposafagha Benedict Seimode, said the organisation remains steadfast in supporting initiatives that promote unity, peace and youth development across the country.
According to him, football remains a potent tool for national integration and social cohesion.
“Tantita is keenly interested in nation-building and national development. Football is a major component of that process, which is why we partnered with the organisers of this initiative,” he said.
He described the sport as a unifying force that transcends ethnic, regional and social divides.
“Football brings people together and unites them irrespective of where they come from. Anything that promotes social harmony, fosters peace and strengthens unity aligns with our corporate vision. That is why we will continue to support initiatives like this,” Seimode added.
The league, which caters for children between the ages of seven and 15, commenced with opening fixtures in the U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13 and U-15 categories, attracting families, coaches and football enthusiasts from across Abuja.
Seimode stressed that engaging children early in constructive activities remains a strategic investment in the future of the nation.
“When you catch them young and channel their energy positively, it is a plus for society. Tantita will continue to support this noble cause,” he said.
Organisers of the competition lauded the company for extending its corporate social responsibility beyond its operational base in the Niger Delta region.
Lead organiser, Dr. Victor Isereke, expressed gratitude to the firm for backing the initiative.
“I want to specially thank our lead sponsors, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, renowned for protecting oil facilities in the country and for its commitment to community and human capital development,” he said.
He noted that despite the geographical distance from its primary area of operations, the company deemed it fit to invest in children in Abuja.
“They are based in the South, yet they believe every Nigerian child whether in the North, East, West or South deserves equal opportunity and goodwill. We appreciate their support in helping us reach young talents here in Abuja,” Isereke added.
Widely known for its role in pipeline surveillance and the protection of oil infrastructure nationwide, Tantita has in recent years expanded its footprint in community-focused and youth-oriented interventions, reinforcing its corporate philosophy of sustainable national development.
