The Ijaw National Congress (INC) has announced that its 2026 National Ijaw Day Celebration and National Convention will hold from March 5 to 7, 2026, at Ijaw House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The three-day event will commence on March 5 with a wrestling procession, book launch, keynote speeches and other cultural displays aimed at showcasing the rich heritage of the Ijaw people.
Activities will continue on March 6 with a non-elective convention, while the elective convention is scheduled for March 7.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed and released by the President of INC, Benjamin Okaba, who described the event as a significant gathering for the Ijaw nation to celebrate its cultural identity and deliberate on issues affecting the people.
