Sen. Joel-Onowakpo sponsors bill for Federal School of Nursing & Midwifery, Patani

Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District in the Nigeria Senate has announced the sponsorship of a bill for the establishment of a Federal School of Nursing & Midwifery in Patani Local Government Area of Delta State.

The lawmaker revealed the initiative in a recent post on his X handle, wherein he emphasized his commitment to quality representation for the people of Delta South. He stated, “I have sponsored the Federal School of Nursing & Midwifery, Patani, Delta State (Establishment) Bill 2024. The Bill, with serial number SB635, successfully passed its first reading today, Thursday, October 31, 2024, in the Senate.”

Sen. Joel-Onowakpo highlighted the critical role this institution will play in enhancing healthcare services across the region. “The importance of this professional institution to the overall health and wellbeing of our people—and indeed all Nigerians—cannot be overstated,” he noted.
