High Chief Cocodia, who is also the Special Adviser to Governor Douye Diri on Political Matters, will, by this elevation, now serve as the Chairman of the Traditional Council of Chiefs in Kabowei Kingdom.

Led by HRM (Barr) Peremobowei S. Erebulu, Aduo III, Kabowei Kingdom is one of the largest Kingdoms in Ijaw Nation, comprising communities in both Delta and Bayelsa States.

High Chief Collins Cocodia’s promotion was announced by the Pere of Kabowei in his Palace at Patani, Delta State, as part of events to mark the seven-year coronation anniversary of the Pere of Kabowei Kingdom.

Speaking shortly after his conferment, High Chief Cocodia expressed immense gratitude to His Royal Majesty and the entire Kabowei Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs, for the honour.

He prayed for God to give him the needed strength and wisdom to excel in his new traditional office.

He added that the honour, which is coming a few hours after marking his birthday celebration, was a call to more service.

The revered Bayelsa politician therefore solicited the support and cooperation of the people in order to work for the peace and rapid progress of Kabowei Kingdom.

The seven-year coronation anniversary of the Pere of Kabowei Kingdom will go down in history as one of the most important moments in Kabowei history.
