Our Mission
At Ijaw Heritage Television International, our mission is to celebrate, showcase and preserve the rich Ijaw cultural heritage, while providing a platform for the promotion and advancement of the Ijaw language, enabling freedom of expression for the over 20 million indigenous Ijaw people across Nigeria and beyond, offering reliable news, open discussions, and community engagement. We strive to foster a sense of belonging and unity among the Ijaw, ensuring the upholding of the constitutional, fundamental, and human rights of the Ijaw people, promote social, economic and cultural development of Ijaw land through compelling storytelling, insightful analysis of the natural resources and opportunities, and active participation.

We envision a connected and empowered Ijaw community that is well-informed, culturally enriched, and actively engaged in shaping its future; challenging stereotypes and misconceptions, by highlighting our history, culture, language and contemporary issues. We aim to inspire and embolden the voices of our people, pride and drive positive change in our land.
