Pere of Gbaramatu, Olu of Warri, Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha, Ibori, Lokpobiri, Others Attend Pere of Kabowei Kingdom Coronation Anniversary

The Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom His Royal Majesty Oboro-Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadagba, the Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III, Abe I, the Ovie of Uvwie, former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, Minister of State for Petroleum, Heineken Lokpobiri, High Chief Kestin Pondi, MD Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited amongst other high profile politicians and monarchs from across Delta, Bayelsa States and the Niger Delta attended the 7th Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Peremobowei Shedrack Erebulu, Aduo III, the Pere of Kabowei kingdom in Patani on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

The monarch ascended the throne of his fore fathers in 2017. Kabowei kingdom bestrides Ijaw communities in both Delta and Bayelsa States.

Parts of the kingdom in Delta State are: Koloware, Aven. (Taware, Akowre, Ogemware, Ekise, Osou-ware, Okruware, Ajfenaware, Okruware).

However, the ones known as Patani (Opu-Kabu) Asedeni and Pereware) are found in Abare, all in Patani Local Government areas of Delta State, while Asamabiri, Ekperi-ware, Elemebiri, Trofani Aduku, New Patani and Adagbabiri are all located in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Sinebe, Delta State Commissioner of Youth Development, Trakiriowei Thankgod, amongst other dignitaries also graced the occasion.

Described as the most epoch making occasion in Patani in recent times, the event was chaired by Rear Admiral F.B.I Poubeni and also featured the foundation laying for the construction of a grand palace for the King(Pere) amongst other cultural activities and displays.

In his speech, Aduo III, stressed that Kabowei sons and daughters have earned global respect for their hard work, noble values and cultural principles. He expressed profuse gratitude to the invited guests and particularly his colleagues of the Delta state council of traditional rulers for the show of love and support and the good wishes over the occasion.

“Today history has been marked in Kabowei Kingdom, for every son and daughter of this land, men and women who have continue to build our great Kingdom and positioning it at the forefront. To all the invited guests who made out time to grace this occasion and to witness the Kabowei rich cultural heritage, i welcome you all.”
