The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has gained substantial momentum and endorsement ahead of its upcoming Ijaw Media Conference and Annual Dialogue, scheduled for December 11, 2024, in Bayelsa State.
Hon. Spencer Okpoye, the DESOPADEC Commissioner representing the Ijaw ethnic group, has expressed strong support for the IPF’s efforts in organizing an impactful pioneering event.
The event Themed “Advancing the Quest for Economic/Political Freedom in a Siege Nation,” aims to unite leaders and stakeholders to explore innovative solutions for the Ijaw nation and Niger Delta’s economic growth.
The Commissioner elated by the honour, pledged full participation and support for the programme, which promises to foster economic discourse and empower indigenous media professionals.
The lPF delegation led by its president and event planning committee chairman Comrade Ozobo Austin, receiving the endorsement expressed gratitude to the DESOPADEC Commissioner for the sustained support and collaboration.
Addressing the IPF team the commissioner hailed the organisation’s drive while describing the programme as a timely intervention and purposeful platform for meaningful discussions on entrepreneurship, job creation, and environmental safety in the Niger Delta region.
The highly anticipated conference is expected to attract high-level participation from government officials, media practitioners, and stakeholders in the Ijaw nation.
