The Opuama Community, an oil-producing hub in Egbema Kingdom, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, has announced plans for the 11th edition of its annual Oloduwa (Progenitor) Day Celebration; a cultural fiesta designed to promote the heritage, unity and ancestral identity of the people.
The two-day event is scheduled for December 12 and 13, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. daily, and will hold at the Opuama Community Playground.

The 2025 edition will feature special honours for outstanding community leaders.
Speaking on the preparations, the Chairman of the Planning Committee and DESOPADEC Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality, Hon. Spencer O. Okpoye, said the event will showcase the unity and cultural pride that define the Opuama people.
A member of the Media and Publicity Committee, ThankGod Ugedi, also urged friends, well-wishers and the general public to join in celebrating what he described as a grand cultural gathering.
