The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, has congratulated High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his conferment of an Honorary Doctorate of Laws (LLD) by E.K. Clark University.
In a statement released to newsmen, Otuaro described the honour as well-deserved, praising Tompolo’s enduring commitment to peace, stability and development in the Niger Delta.
He noted that Tompolo’s consistent support for dialogue, community engagement and nonviolent conflict-resolution mechanisms has continued to strengthen national security and promote economic stability in the region.

Beyond peacebuilding, Otuaro highlighted Tompolo’s philanthropic strides, humanitarian interventions and investments in youth empowerment, saying they reflect “a man whose heart is truly with his people.”
“Tompolo’s good heart, generosity and love for humanity distinguish him as a leader of rare character,” he said.
The PAP boss also commended E.K. Clark University for recognising “a personality whose impact continues to resonate across the Niger Delta and beyond,” urging other institutions to celebrate individuals whose selfless service contributes to national progress.
Otuaro prayed for God’s guidance, long life and renewed strength for High Chief Ekpemupolo as he continues to render service to the Niger Delta and Nigeria.
