The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr Dennis Brutu Otuaro, has praised the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour for mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
Otuaro also commended Seyi Tinubu for what he described as strategic engagements across the country in furtherance of the President’s re-election bid.
He gave the commendation while reacting to the South-South edition of the group’s mobilisation rally held in Benin City, Edo State, from April 23 to 24, 2026.
Seyi Tinubu and his entourage arrived in Benin on Thursday and were received at the Government House by the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
Congratulating the leadership and members of the group, Otuaro said the rally reflected the solidarity of youths in the South-South with the President and his continuity agenda.
He said, “I congratulate Mr Seyi Tinubu and the leaders and members of the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour on the South-South edition of their rally aimed at mobilising youths for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which took place in Edo State.
“The rally is a testament to the resolve of youths in the South-South to support the President’s re-election bid.
“The youths of the zone have declared their stance due to what they consider the achievements of the administration in the region.”
Otuaro listed some of the initiatives of the Federal Government in the region to include the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project, the establishment of the South-South Development Commission, the Federal University of Environment and Technology in Ogoniland, the signing into law of the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, as well as support for the Niger Delta Development Commission and the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
He added that several youths from the South-South had also been appointed into positions of responsibility under the current administration.
According to him, the Renewed Hope agenda was yielding results in the region and deserved continuity.
Otuaro also noted the collaboration between the youth tour and other support groups backing the President.
