FUAB Opens Admission for 2025/2026 Academic Session

By Our Correspondent

The Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri (FUAB), in Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has announced the commencement of its admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In a statement signed by the Registrar on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Reginald Inodu Keremah, and made available to Ijaw Heritage Television International, the University invites candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 JAMB/UTME to apply for admission into its accredited undergraduate programmes.

Professor Keremah reaffirmed FUAB’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and human capital development, saying the institution was poised to produce graduates who would drive growth in agriculture, technology, and environmental sciences.

“We are building an institution that nurtures both intellect and innovation in agriculture, technology, and environmental sciences. Every qualified candidate who meets our requirements is welcome to join this vision,” he said.

Application Guidelines

According to the statement, interested candidates are expected to complete a Change of Institution to Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri (FUAB) through the official JAMB portal, in line with approved procedures.

The University, however, cautioned that meeting the minimum UTME cut-off mark or completing the change process does not automatically guarantee admission. Applicants are also required to meet the specific entry requirements of their chosen programmes and participate successfully in the University’s internal screening exercise.

An admissions officer who spoke to Ijaw Heritage Television said:

“Admission into FUAB will be strictly based on merit, compliance with JAMB procedures, and successful participation in the post-UTME screening exercise.”
