The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has concluded plans to host the second edition of its annual Ijaw Media Conference, scheduled for December 11, 2025.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by its National President, Comrade Ozobo Austin, the forum announced that this year’s conference, themed “Safeguarding Oil and Gas Natural Resources for Future Generations in the Niger Delta,” will hold at KFT Place by 12 noon.
The IPF said the conference is designed to deepen public understanding of the rising threats posed by oil theft, unregulated exploitation, and worsening environmental pollution in the Niger Delta.
According to the statement, the forum expressed concern that these harmful practices continue to devastate the region’s ecosystems and communities, undermining sustainable development and the wellbeing of residents.
The group called on leaders, stakeholders, and youths to join hands with relevant agencies and security bodies in supporting ongoing advocacy efforts to protect the region’s natural resources.
The IPF also extended an open invitation to stakeholders and members of the public to attend the conference, adding that further details will be released in due course.
